YOU FEEL SO EMPTY THAT YOU WISH YOU WERE A RAVIOLI
IF YOU BREAK PROMISES, BUY GLUE
TO DROWN YOUR SORROWS AND THAT A SMART ASS DOES C.P.R. ON THEM
TO CRY WITH YOUR UNDERARM IS TO SWEAT
IF YOU LOSE HOPE, IT WILL END UP SURROUNDED BY UNPAIRED SOCKS
“Choruses” (details from an ongoing series), 2016, marker on paper, 25 drawings, 23×32’5 cm each drawing
“Choruses” is a series of drawings with messages that could be titles of songs or art pieces that will never be developed. They comment with irony our ways of living and dying.
The title refers to that part of the song that not only summarize it but also is repeated so much that sometimes it becomes impossible to get rid of it. Just like clichés and stereotypes: short phrases we tell each other all the time and that recap complex problematic.
